Autumn 2010 Newsletter
Our Show this year was a great success; we had more entries, which of course made more competition. Although we still made a loss it was the lowest for several years. Let’s hope we can do better next year. We thank all the helpers for their invaluable help, where would we be without you.

We would like to remind you that the first meeting on September 29th will be a quiz by Mr Peter Collett, we hope as many of you will join us as possible.
It is with much regret that we have to inform you that the store will be closing at the end of our lease in November. We are being forced to do so, because we have refused to pay £2,300 pounds for gates at the narrow entrance, this would be totally inappropriate as we would be unable to drive in. We feel this is unfair, as the Society has traded on this site for at least forty years without incident. We have kept the store open under very difficult circumstances with all the building work that has gone on around us, and also the loss of much of our parking facilities.
Our Chairman has offered a compromise but it has been ignored. It seems that they are determined to make us the scapegoat for the Anti-social behaviour of the local youths. We will stay open until the end of November and after the end of September all goods will be sold at a reduced price. We do have a quantity of pots from 4in to 10in, which will be greatly reduced. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our of regular customers for their loyal support.
