Summer 2021 Newsletter

Dear Members,

Just a short letter to tell you what is happening and that we are still here!!

We hope that you have survived and have been able to work in your garden and are now reaping the benefits with all the flowers blooming in this nice weather.

Providing that the lockdown restrictions are lifted at the end of this month, here are the up-coming events we have planned; –

All events listed below start at 7.30pm and will be held at the Havant Meeting Place at the United Reformed Church, Elm Lane, PO9 1PP. There will be the usual entrance fee of £2.00 per person.

Wednesday 29th September – Social Evening

We can have an American supper or a fish and chips supper. There will be no charge for this event. You might like to bring a photo of your garden, or a particular flower for the best of which there will be a small prize, or some plants to exchange. There will be a raffle and a quiz with a prize.

Owing to the limited provision of fresh air in the Hall, you may feel safer wearing a mask.
(We will take every precaution with cleanliness)

Please contact Biddy Wylie on (02392) 475226 by the end of August to say that you would like to attend and what type of food you would prefer – bring your own fish and chips.

Wednesday 27th October
a talk by Peter Barwick – All aspects of Growing Soft Fruit

Wednesday 24th November
a talk by Wilf Simcox – Growing in a Small Greenhouse

We hope to see you back at one of the meetings, so that we can try and get back to as normal as possible.
