Summer Show
For the 7th year running this will be held in the St. Nicholas Church Centre, Bedhampton on Saturday 4th August. If you have not been before, this can be found by turning into Hulbert Road at the Bedhampton traffic lights and then left into Queen Anne’s Drive. The benefit of this venue is that there is lots of parking both on and off site.

As this has been a really horrid summer so far and the ground has been water-logged for so long, it may be very difficult to find any flowers, fruit or vegetables to exhibit, but please try to find something to enter so that we can have as good a display as possible, let’s hope that the sun shines from now on and your gardens and allotments will burst into life to provide a good show. At the very least you may find something for the “Great Disaster” section!!

If you can’t find flowers, there are always the handicraft, cookery and children’s sections which are open to non-members. The floral arrangement section has the theme “the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee”. Schedules and entry forms are available from Show Manager, Geoff Tanton on (02392) 479419.  Entries need to be in by Wednesday 1st August, with late entries on the Friday evening before with a late entry fee.

If you cannot find anything to enter, please try and support us by coming to the show. Refreshments will be available, along with stalls, a raffle and gardening supplies remaining from the store at greatly reduced prices.

A Date with the Mayor
The Havant Volunteer Centre has put forward our Show Manager Geoff Tanton to receive a certificate at the Award Ceremony on the 6th August at the Plaza (Havant Borough Council). He has been our Show Manager for many years and we are delighted that his hard work has been recognized in this way.
