Late Spring 2006 Newsletter
The Summer Show this year will be held on Saturday 29th July. Again it will be for members only, but there is a change in venue to St. Nicholas Church Centre, Belmont Grove, Bedhampton. The change will give us more space and improve facilities, so please do your very best to enter something this year, even if it is only one item! If you have never entered anything before, have a go, you might even win!! Schedules will be available at the May Supper and at the Store.
Members who have exhibited before will automatically be sent one through the post. Offers to help set up on the evening before and on the day would be really welcome. Please contact Geoff Tanton on (02392) 479419
This is on Wednesday 26th April at 7.30 pm in the United Reformed Church hall, Elm Lane, Havant. The subject is the history of the parks and gardens of the National Trust from Tudor times up to the present day. With the lighter evenings, please try to attend what promises to be a very interesting talk.
This will be a fish & chip supper on Wednesday 31st May, 7.00 for 7.30. Tickets will be available at the next meeting.
Even with all the demolition going on around it, the Store is still open. The lane up to the Store has been cleared and there is more room to park at the top, so there is no problem with heavy items.
We have two pairs of tickets for wisely and all the other Royal Horticultural Society Gardens. These will admit one member and a guest for a 30% less than normal price.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Graham Tucker. He was a member for 20 years and Show Manager for 5 years.
