May Supper, 25th May 2016
This annual event was held once again in the United Reformed Church Hall, Elm Lane, Havant, starting at 7.30pm. It was another successful American Supper, everyone brought a dish, savory or sweet, and there were some really mouthwatering offerings.
Before we started Helen Handley told us about the grant aided project to restore the Gazebo and its historic Garden in Havant situated behind the Bear Hotel in the Pallant car park.
The Friends of the Gazebo Garden has been set up as a sub-group of Havant Civic Society to ensure that the Gazebo Garden has a secure future.
If you can help with the restoration of the garden and join The Friends, please contact Helen by phone on (07768) 512767 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The supper was followed by a competition to find out how many silly things you can do with an orange organized by Biddy and the quiz was organized by Karen with prizes!
It was a very successful and enjoyable evening, attended by some 20 members, friends and relations.
On behalf of the members present, our Chairman Liam thanked the organising team of Biddy, Diana and Anne and all the cooks and helpers, for another convivial evening.
